The 2007 course programme is now available. Ticer will organise:
- a modular course, consisting of six one-day modules
- comparable to the ones in 2005 and 2006
- at Tilburg University, the Netherlands
- from Sunday evening 26 August up to and including Friday afternoon 31 August 2007
An international programme committee is currently developing the programme. The committee consists of:

- Michael L. Breaks, University librarian, Heriot-Watt University, UK
- Hans Roes, Director Information Resources and Multimedia, International University Bremen, Germany
- Thomas Place, Innovation Manager, Tilburg University, Library and IT Services, The Netherlands
- Jola Prinsen, Deputy Manager, Ticer, The Netherlands
The modules will cover the following themes:
- Module 1: Strategic Issues and Library Management
- Science Commons and the role of libraries
- Collection development in an age of ongoing digitization and Open Access
- User studies
- Performance measurement and accountability
- Module 2: Technological Developments
- Strategic introduction to the state-of-technology
- Innovation in catalogues and search engines
- Library chatbots in reference services
- Trust federations (access management)
- Module 3: Hands-on: New Technologies
Possibly parallel hands-on sessions on:
- Open source software for libraries
- XML
- Module 4a: Libraries Supporting Research and Open Access
- Libraries supporting eScience
- SAKAI for researchers
- Open Access to data sets
- Services based on OA repositories
- Module 4b: Hands-on: New Technologies
Possibly parallel hands-on sessions on:
- Podcasting/vodcasting in academic libraries
- Social networking and virtual worlds in academic libraries
- Module 5: Libraries Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Broad introduction on the role of libraries in teaching and learning
- Information literacy
- Learning spaces
- Gaming and libraries
A paper course brochure will be available in April 2007.
