The fifth International Summer School on the Digital Library was held at Tilburg University from 31 July - 11 August 2000. It had a completely new set-up. The summer school consisted of two, separate courses:

	Managing the change process towards your library of the future (week 1)
	Electronic publishing: libraries as buyers, facilitators or producers (week 2)

It was possible to attend one or two courses. Each course had its specific target group. In particular, they were aimed at library managers/directors, IT librarians, licensing officers, and digital library project managers from academic and research libraries.
