The "Digital Libraries and the Changing World of Education" course was designed for librarians, reference librarians, library managers, instruction librarians, designers of learning environments, and teaching staff.
Participants should leave the course with:
- a sound knowledge of the possible roles of and opportunities for libraries in education;
- knowledge of practical experiences and case studies of libraries.
To achieve this, attention will be paid to:
- the digital library as a natural complement of digital learning environments;
- information literacy as a critical skill for lifelong learning;
- the relation between physical and virtual learning environments;
- opportunities for library staff in co-designing digital learning environments.
