You can apply for one or multiple summer school courses. It is possible, and in some cases even advisable, for more persons from the same organisation to each follow one of the courses. Thus, e.g., the library director can attend one course, the instruction librarian another one, and the IT librarian a third one.
To get maximum benefit from the courses on The Management of Change, we advise libraries to send more than one delegate from their institution to this course (2 - 3 ideally).
After receiving the application form, Ticer will send you an invoice, which should be settled within 42 days. The course fees are payable in Euros and in advance. All fees are payable, unless cancellation has been received under the terms stated further on.

* You can use a currency converter website (like e.g. the Universal Currency Converter) to convert the course fee to your own currency.
The course fee covers the following items:
- lectures;
- course pack;
- all dinners except one;
- lunches;
- coffee/tea/drinks during lecture hours;
- transport to and from restaurants (if not within walking distance).
The course fee does not cover:
- value added tax for the courses in the Netherlands;
- accommodation in hotel or student apartment;
- transport to Tilburg or Florence;
- breakfasts.

| Discounts
|
|
Organisations registering for more than one course or registering more than one person, will be given a 150 Euro discount per person, per course, provided that registration forms are received on the same day and the courses are invoiced on the same invoice. Other discounts do not apply.
For participants of one of the former Ticer Summer Schools, there is a special discount of 150 Euro per person, per week. Other discounts do not apply.

Value Added Tax (VAT) and foreign participants
|
|
For the two Summer School courses which are held in the Netherlands, Ticer has to comply with Dutch tax law. We are therefore obliged to add 19% value added tax (VAT) to the fee of these courses. For you as a foreign participant, it is possible to get the VAT back from your country's tax authorities, because it can settle things with the Dutch tax authorities. Please contact your own tax authorities for more information.

| Scholarships
|
|
Ticer cannot provide scholarships. We do not know of any programme that provides scholarships for short Summer School courses like ours.

|
| Acceptance of application
|
|
Your application will only be accepted upon receipt of payment within 42 days. If you fail to pay your invoice within 42 days, Ticer has the right to accept other participants' applications. Upon receipt of payment, your name will be mentioned in the list of accepted participants on our web site.

|
| Cancellations and substitutions
|
|
Notice of cancellation in writing or by telefax must be received at least 90 days before the start of the course. For cancellation and refund of the course fee, a handling fee of 150 Euro will be charged. Cancellations received after this date cannot be accepted for refund. Substitutions may be made at any time.

| Limited number of places
|
|
A limited number of places is available for all courses.

| Accommodation
|
|
Upon request, Ticer can arrange accommodation during all courses. In the coming months, more information about the accommodation will become available on this web site. Please indicate on your registration form whether Ticer should arrange your accommodation. We will then contact you about the details.

| Certificates
|
|
Those participants who actively participate in a course and attend all presentations and workshops will receive a certificate at the end of the course. Course directors take the final decision in this.
